The only way forward, if we are going to improve the quality of the environment, is to get everybody involved

Who Are we?

Policy Forum Guyana (PFG) envisions a future where the natural resources of Guyana are managed in a transparent and sustainable manner that benefits all Guyanese (current and future generations) and contributes to global efforts to address climate change.

Policy Forum Guyana is a non-governmental organisation committed to promoting accountability and transparency in natural resources, climate change, and extractive industries in Guyana.

The primary goal of PFG is to promote accountability and transparency in the management of natural resources and extractive industries in Guyana, with a focus on addressing climate change. This is achieved through advocacy, research, capacity building, and promoting dialogue between stakeholders. PFG also aims to strengthen Guyana’s participation in global initiatives, such as the Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (EITI), to ensure that Guyana’s natural resources are managed in a responsible and sustainable manner.

The Climate Justice Pledge

The Forum welcomes all non-governmental agencies and groups to join the PFG. Rules of membership which you’ll see are quite straight-forward and not demanding. At present, the PFG operates with a small Steering Committee, a Chair and Convenor.
