THE COOPERATIVE REPUBLIC OF GUYANA EXTRACTIVE INDUSTRIES TRANSPARENCY INITIATIVE (GYEITI) MULTI-STAKEHOLDER GROUP (MSG)
Brief Overview
In each of the implementing countries, the EITI is supported by a coalition of governments, companies, and civil society. Together, all three sectors make up the Multi-Stakeholder Group (MSG) responsible for overseeing and agreeing all decisions on the implementation of EITI. The Cooperative Republic of Guyana established its Multi-Stakeholder Group (MSG) to oversee EITI implementation in Guyana. The Multi-Stakeholder Group approves the work plan for the Secretariat, approves the annual EITI Report, assures that EITI contributes to the public debate, and supports the GYEITI National Secretariat.
Membership
The MSG Board comprises 12 members and 12 alternates representing the government, civil society, and companies that operate in the extractive industry.
