Policy Forum Guyana has launched the 1.5 Lifestyle Starter Kit to commemorate World Environment Day on June 5th. This initiative aims to encourage Guyanese citizens to adopt eco-friendly practices and help limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. The launch event, attended by over 50 representatives from various organizations, featured the presentation of the kits to 12 influential personalities from diverse backgrounds. The kit includes eco-friendly items designed to reduce environmental footprints. Key partners in this initiative include Teleperformance Guyana, Darthan Investments, and Jars Zero Waste, among others. Future events, such as the Trash the Runway fashion event in October 2024, are also planned to promote environmental awareness.
