“United & Free” Racial Harmony Virtual Concert

In addition, to the pledges and mural, we thought that ties among various ethnicities can be further strengthened by having a racial harmony concert. After all, what better way to bring persons together than with music and art.

This concert was called “United and Free” and was held on April 11th, 2021 at 6 pm and held virtually via the zoom platform. A total of 46 performers from across the 10 administrative regions in Guyana, represented the 7 ethnic groups. This showcased a variety of talents. Which as a result, saw over 150 active participants joining and enjoying the program for its 1 hour plus duration.

The concert was set into three different segments. Apart from the usual singing, dancing, and poems, the concert featured several paintings related to the theme by young Guyanese artists who were engaged to exhibit their talents, along with a game called “How Guyanese are you?”.
