PFG in collaboration with the National Center for Education Resource Development (NCERD) organized a two-day workshop with twelve representatives from six communities, in Kamarang village on the 24th and 25th January 2018. The workshop educated the participants on the importance of freshwater, the impacts of gold mining on rivers, and equipped them with the skills necessary to conduct water quality tests. The youths then shared the information that they were taught; the impacts of gold mining and the need of conserving their freshwater with their respective communities via meetings held in schools and community centers.
